It’s the final day of 2006!
Merry 7th day of Christmas and Happy New Year’s Eve!
-hysterical laughter-

My medication’s got my body clock all upside down…

I will be doing the countdown at home, in front of the computer, with my cell phone beside me… hahaha… yes, being quarantined does things to you…

This being the last day of the year… I think it apt to end the year with a bang and this song:

Seasons of Love
ALL
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes,
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Moments so dear.
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights
In cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.

In five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure
A year in the life?

How about love?
How about love?
How about love? Measure in love

Seasons of love. Seasons of love

JOANNE
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Journeys to plan.

Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life
Of a woman or a man?

COLLINS
In truths that she learned,
Or in times that he cried.
In bridges he burned,
Or the way that she died.

ALL
It's time now to sing out,
Tho' the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love!
Remember the love!
Seasons of love!

JOANNE
Oh you got to got to Remember the love! remember the love,
You Measure in love know that love is a gift from up above Seasons of love.
Share love, give love spread love Measure measure you life in love.

The song is from the theatre production, cum movie, by the name of Rent.
The story is about the lives of people being intertwined and how AIDS affects all of them.
Tells us that life is not as long as we think no?
I guess the key thing would be to treasure the ones around us.

Parting words for 2006:
I’ve seen, heard, touched, felt, been hurt, hurt, been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, learned, laughed, cried, climbed, fallen, taught, sung, screamed, kicked and much, much more, but most importantly, I have loved and been loved as well.
Without love, life isn’t worth the living no? :)
Praise God for all He has done in my life and the lives of those I love this year!
He continues His mighty works in our lives.
May all whom I love and know be blessed in the coming year!
-hugs all round-

Thanks for making my year guys~

Smile in remembrance

- Henry Kissinger (1923-)
"The graveyards are full of indispensable men."
- Charles de Gaulle (1890-1970)
"You can pretend to be serious; you can't pretend to be witty."
- Sacha Guitry (1885-1957)

- Aristotle Onassis (1906-1975)

Merry 6th day of Christmas everyone!

In accordance with my doctor’s orders I will be staying at home until I am fully recovered.
Which means that I will be staring at the four walls of my home till… erm… God knows when…
-faints-
I do hope to get back into my training as soon as possible though.
There are a few other things, which I know need tweaking…
*sigh*
Then again, every cloud has its silver lining, and for this cloud, it’s the fact that I get to sleep in and snuggle under my blanket in this season’s weather :)
Thankfully, I also have a good computer and the Internet connection’s coming back to normal… and I’ve got schoolwork to catch up with, so I’ve no lack of things to do.

Been thinking about how fast the year has rushed by.
Time is absolute but the passing of time is relative.
For kids, it never seems to pass quickly enough.
For adults, it passes far too quickly… so I guess its true when they say:
Youth is wasted on the young.
We spent all our time wondering what we’d be like when we grew up, but now that we’re here, we wish we had done things differently…
Ack! Now I sound like some kind of 90 year old…
-faints again-

“Is your mustache is the source of your knowledge?
If it is, then please don’t set such difficult questions because most of us do not have mustaches”
Sound familiar?
-psychotic laughter-

Huiyi~
Hang in there… don’t give up hope!
The most important thing is that you don’t lose your bearing in God.
He allows us to go through adversity so that we realize how much we need Him in our lives…
In any case, just remember that I will be here for you if and when you wanna talk ya?

Yueling~~
How was work this week?

Lucien~~~
Start planning for a proper chiong-ing session… hahaha… January is just few hours away…
I am open to any other brainstormed ideas for the occasion :)

Swee Shoon,
Do you have any overseas attachments?
I just found out that Shang Lin is going to Paris for a term… sounds really groovy… the only damper would be the entire cash thing though… *bleah*

J Kor~
My Ian is adorable no?
-hysterical laughter-

Ok… refer to the last last post for the others… heehee…

As the New Year looms ever the closer, we reflect on the ups and downs of the year.
I believe I have said before that if you look back and find yourself smiling more than frowning, or evening shed a tear or two, it has been a good year.
I hope it was a good year for everyone :)

Cheers~!

Merry 5th Day of Christmas~!

I am now officially an Auntie!
Hehe… my sister gave birth this morning :)
My brother sent me a picture of Ian.
SO adorable!!!!
He’s the most handsome baby I have ever seen!!!
Ok, I might be biased here, coz he’s my brother’s child, but… I don care!
-psychotic laughter-

Went to the doctor again.
Still coughing like crazy, and now, it kinda brings more pain.
A total no brainer to go back no?
I am on doctor’s orders to stay at home till I am better… which will probably mean that I might lose my mind in the process but it’s a good time to recover coz I’ve got a lot more at stake if I do not get well SOON.
It’s nice that I have a picture of my nephew, coz I won’t be able to go and visit him until I’m fully recovered.
Then again, I do not need to see him to know that I will fall in love with him. :)

Anyways… this post is more like an add on to my previous one, so guys… please refer to the last post to see my shoutouts ya?

Cheers!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as I did!
-does the jig of joy-

Christmas morn was spent at Wesley Methodist Church with Mum and YKM.
My mummy got her long service award from the church.
10 years in that church liao… how time does fly~
Congrats Mum!

We went to Plaza Singapura after the service.
Bought some stuff for Grandma.
Mum and YKM went to visit Grandma while I made for Seng Kang to meet Alfred and Lucien.

Waiting for YT to turn up and did some shopping with her.
Waited with her till Jason turned up before acting as ‘dao you’ to bring my two boys to Sir’s place.

Sir’s house was very happening~
Food and friends :)
What more could I ask for!
Hehe… congregation of almost all the people I hangout with on a daily basis…
We watched DVDs: RobbiHood and Underworld Evolution.
Funny stunts and gore.
Definitely no link between the two movies… hahaha…
We ate, talked, ate, talk, drank and ate some more. :D
Took pictures all over the place as well.
-hysterical laughter-

Tis’ the season, so here’s a special song and its meaning J
Found it on a website…
Enjoy and be blessed my friends!

The Twelve Days Of Christmas

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me.
What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?
Today I found out, thanks to the Internet.

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.

It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church.

Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit: Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership and Mercy.
The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love,Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.
The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.
The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol...

It’s official… I am sick… down with a virus…
Going to the doctor was a good decision.
Better to get rid of the virus now then let it ‘hang’ around and land myself in more pain than I am already feeling…
I was a good girl yesterday lor… I avoided all the fried stuff at Sir’s house.
-chuckles-
I din't want to go to school this morning... kept wondering if it was going to be a good idea to get sick self out of the house, into the pouring rain, onto two buses and into the lecture theatre...
Oh well, the respobsible part of me won out.
So went to school I did.
Good thing too... there isn't another MM lecture for another week or so.
Have to make sure I get back onto the bandwagon...
With God's help, I will get onto it!!!!
-throws pompoms and waves more like crazy-

Aight… meds are kicking in… Merry Christmas everyone!
Remember - 12 days!
-bounces around the house-
Chaoz~

Be Blessed Everyone!

A Prayer for You at Christmas

Oh Lord, bless this Christmas season with peace and joy,
Grant that each visitor to this page may reflect on Your goodness.
Rid each heart of fear and distress, loneliness and pain, leaving only
The serenity and security of resting in Your everlasting love.
In the precious name of Your Son, we pray, Amen.

Just got home not long ago…
Guess what?!
I have fallen sick…
But I had a wonderfully ending to the past few days.
And to cap it all off, Sir’s back from Hanoi!
-shouts of joy-
No more stress~!
-does dance of jubilation-

I skipped out on church today to finish with the last portions of the schedule… couldn’t bear to leave Dexter all alone…
He bought me my breakfast today… hehe…
Thank you very much Dexter :)

Finished with TPY and headed for Kovan to settle the van.
Made for Vivo City with Huifen after that.
My first visit there.
First impression:
I ain’t too pleased with the place.
For one, the place is supposed to be big, but the walkways on the second floor can only fit a maximum of 4 people in line.
Taking into consideration that today is the eve of a special occasion, the place was VERY crowded… but the building and the stores did not blow me away at all… I was kinda expecting more from all that hype and talk about the venue…
Hopefully I will have a better review of Vivo City the next time I go, provided I decide to stop at Harbor Front again in the near future.

Went back to Kovan for training.
Sir took the class; as per normal, even though there were not as many students as usual, it is the Christmas Eve after all no?
-hysterical laughter-
Did poomsae all the way.
I messed up one of my sets!
-freaks out-
This is SO not the time to get my pattern wrong lor!!!!
-bangs head against the wall-
Not much time left… in fact I only have two more training sessions before I display my mantle.
MUST JIA YOU~~~~~
URSH!!!!!

Lets backtrack a bit:
Wednesday went to CSMC right?
I got good and bad news…
Want to know?
Ask me yourself. ;p

Went for lunch with TKM at Han River in Simei.
Eat until dinner cannot stomach.
T’was really a lot of food.

Got home and went for training.
Poomsae, as usual.
Anything less would me madness no?
-psychotic laughter-
We celebrated Alfred’s birthday early at McD… sat down to talk talk and rot rot before heading home to a stone face and TKM calling me an idiot…
Not exactly a nice sensation but oh well… I had a good time with my peeps from the society :D

Thursday, CF lecture… Johnny was late. We were irritated by the irritating things and I was really happy when we were finally let off… had lunch with David and Charlene before heading for home and warm bed.
Class with Alfred in the evening.

Friday morning… SLEEP IN…
-sigh of satisfaction-
thought I was going to be in the house for the whole day but ended up going to the computer shop with Alfred and helping Yueling out with her Christmas shopping at Heartland Mall.
Made it home and went out again for class…
Dinner was an interesting experience…
-evil laughter-

Saturday morn, WWS Bike patrol with the NTUC boys.
Went home, tired out but not wasted… headed for Bishan to meet Winnie.
CCIS duty at Orchard Tong Building.
My church’s performance was singing carols in both Chinese and English.
Heavenly~

Went back to Bishan with the group, namely Auntie Sally, Mike, Winnie and Andrew, for dinner.
I headed to the RC to check on Yao Liang before going back to the shopping center. Ride courtesy of Yao Liang’s dad. :)
Ended up eating at Café Cartel.
Hehe… make use of my student discount card… if not apply for what?
-laughs out loud-

SO ya… that was my few days…
And I hope you guys had as an eventful a time… Christmas seems to have crept up on me this year… hahaha…

Be blessed my friends, be blessed.
If I could give u all hugs, I would.
Sumpah~!

God bless!

Dancing in the rain

"Attention to health is life's greatest hindrance."
- Plato (427-347 B.C.)
"Plato was a bore."
- Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
"Nietzsche was stupid and abnormal."
- Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910)
"I'm not going to get into the ring with Tolstoy."
- Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961)
"Hemingway was a jerk."
- Harold Robbins

Happy Birthday Desmond!
Hope you had a good celebration for today~! :)

Friday’s day was not bad… I slacked around the house and finally forced myself to sit down and finish writing my essay for ESAP. :D
-does dance of joy-
Handed it in yesterday in fact… hehe…

Saturday… went to Marine Parade with TKM.
Handles Auntie Janet’s classes for her… coz she went on holiday…
The kids ain’t all that bad… and it was fun teaching… :)
Sadly, the bulk of the day was spent worrying about other things… Messages were flying all over the place… the stress of not being ‘on-top’ of things can be very frustrating…
But it all turned out good in the end :)
THANK GOD!

Sunday went to church and managed to finally finish with my lesson.
I do wish I had had more time to do a better more holistic class with the kids… but time constraints and other pressing matters prevented me from being my typical ‘lor sor’ self…
-hysterical laughter-
Helped out with the second service before making for home.
Had wanted to sleep off my aches but ended up banging the computer keyboard before heading out early to Kovan.
Ran some errands before training started.
Kanna aimed to take class.
Its all good… though I still have to tweak my method of teaching and my time management skills…
-psychotic laughter-

We celebrated Huifen’s birthday early this year… coz why?
Someone going overseas and won’t be back till the end of December lor~
Korea some more leh… Kukkiwon Mountain! Don anyhow play play…
Hahaha…
-pulls self back from digression-
We had fun sitting at White Tangerine; eating the cake, take pictures and laughing with one another… the rain didn’t seem to bother us. :)

Monday’s lecture was not bad, as I said, I handed in my written assignment… so shiok to hand it in lor… can only get that kind of sensation when effort in put in…
Then again, I found out that I might have interpreted the question wrongly. X.xlll
-laughs out loud-
I only found out about that possible error at the end of the school day… hahaha…

The group, ala Paul, Aziz, Desmond, Fion, Claudia and I, went out to Clementi Plaza for lunch at Pizza Hut.
We all hopped into Paul’s van and zoomed down for a hearty lunch.
Big thank you to Desmond for footing the bill.
His treat on his pre-birthday-day…. Hehe…
Rushed back to school for MSM lecture… so happens that Gary was also late, so we ended up sitting at the front side of the lecture theatre.
Was not used to it initially, but we soon saw the benefits of sitting there…
-chuckles-

Training wasn’t too bad…
Kanna aimed to take warm up… which was not very successful, so ended up doing some more extra stuff… haha…
Did speed training… forgot about my knee for a while, which was refreshing… but was soon hit by the weak sensation… sianz… it’s holding me back…
DON CARE!
I will try my best no matter what!
URSH!!!!

Rushed down to Whampoa in the rain… missed two buses coz they were fully packed…
Helped out and hung out with Dex and Bern before heading home in a cab… what to do?
Raining mah~

Its been raining, raining, raining and … what else?
OH YAH!
Raining!
:)
-goes running around in the rain-
Yes, you can tell I love the rainy weather…
It has been raining non-stop, albeit of various degrees since before yesterday’s training started.
I thought I was free from getting my jeans all wet when I reached the block closest to home… but the rain proved me wrong…
Yeap!
I went home half wet… hahahha… so much for an umbrella…
Seriously, I would love to go walking in the rain… get myself all soaking wet, don care about anything, and then just come home to a warm bath.
It works wonders for one’s creativity and general mood.
PLUS!
ITS FUN!
-claps with glee-

Came back around 2 odd, ate my lunch and went out like a light… the weather is just too tempting not to snuggle up under my blanket and sleep…
-sigh of satisfaction-
Heeheee….

Carol Of Bells

Hark how the bells,
sweet silver bells,
all seem to say,
throw cares away

Christmas is here,
bringing good cheer,
to young and old,
meek and the bold,

Oh how they pound,
raising the sound,
o'er hill and dale,
telling their tale,

Gaily they ring
while people sing
songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here,

Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
On on they send,
on without end,
their joyful tone to every home
Dong Ding dong ding, dong Bong

Woohoo~~~
Not only do I know how to play the song, I’ve got the lyrics too!
-does the jig of joy-

Aight… tomorrow’s a big day!
The results of my MRI will be out… time to face reality… whatever the truth may be…
Some how, it is one thing to train when you are not sure what is wrong with your body and yet another to continue training when you do know what the hack is happening…
Catch my drift?
But all the same, knowledge is supposed to be power… right?
-faints-

Crazy or not… HERE I COME!!!!
Hoot~~~

Poetry : Don't hesitate

Ah time passes as it always does…
Waiting not for most of us.
Never standing still
Does not prove much of a thrill
Especially when you want it to freeze
In the midst of a loving breeze…

That much I can say
Been down that road I have not
Not sure when I will travel that journey
A warm hand

Clasp and don’t let go.

Time can do such crazy things...

Good morning!
The weather is beautiful!
The sky is clear and I am in a good mood…
-does the dance of joy-
God creates nice things for His children :)

I’m dragging my body through my ESAP essay.
Started with the skeleton liao… but can’t seem to get the meat onto it…
-psychotic laughter-

Yeah… Love Actually at work again…
“But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because it's Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect - And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like this……”

Parvy-warvy!
Ivan's on the Mr Brown Show... I guess I am probably the last person on the island to realize it...been listening to the recent podcasts and I was wondering if it really was him... checked the internet and found out that it IS him!
-laughs out loud-

The list is getting longer as time passes…
Have a good one guys~!

I am back… haa… God knows what I am doing online at this hour… but here I am typing and wondering about the things that have been thrown my way…

"You got 6 more months to your exam... so you better stop your stupid taekwondo and study!"
Give a guess as to who said that… *big sigh*
Have to rearrange my life and priorities…
Cross the bridge when I come to it?
-pulls hair out-

The Temptations - Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch

Oooooooooooooooh!
Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch
You know that I love you
I can't help myself
I love you and nobody else

In and out my life(in and out my life)
You come and you go(you come and you go)
Leaving just your picture behind....(ooh)
And I've kissed it a thousand times(ooh)
When you snap your finger, or wink you eye,
I come a-running to you
I'm tied to your apron strings,
And there's nothing that I can do

I can't help myself,
No, I can't help myself,

'Cause, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch
I'm weaker than a man should be
I can't help myself
I'm a fool in love 'ya see

Wanna tell you I don't love you,
Tell you that we're through
And I try....
But ev'ry time I see your face,
I get all choked up inside
When I call your name,
Girl, it starts to flame
Burning in my heart,
Tearing it all apart..
No matter how I try
My love I cannot hide....

'Cause Sugar Pie Honey Bunch
You know that I'm waiting for you(waiting for you)
I can't help myself
I love you and nobody else

Sugar Pie Honey Bunch
I'd do anything you ask me to(ask me to)
I can't help myself
I want you and nobody else

Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch
You know that I love you(I dooo)
I can't help myself...
No... I can't help myself

Okok… back to bed… hahaha…

Love Actually (Is All Around)

"The mistakes are all waiting to be made."
- chessmaster Savielly Grigorievitch Tartakower (1887-1956) on the game's opening position
"It is unbecoming for young men to utter maxims."
- Aristotle (384-322 B.C.)
"Grove giveth and Gates taketh away."
- Bob Metcalfe (inventor of Ethernet) on the trend of hardware speedups not being able to keep up with software demands

Ah… the weather be fine today no?
All that rain the past few days makes for wonderful sleeping… just as well, my body seems to be breaking down on me again… so hiding under my blanket I have been. :)

I kanna 3 huge insect bites on one foot… shesh… from goodness knows what kind of insect. One thing’s for sure… its hack-ish-ly ITCHY!
-hysterical laughter-

CF lecture was an eye opener…
I learnt some more new things, and I am not just talking about the finance portion.

Huiyi!
Don’t despair… He let’s us go through the things we do so that we realize how much we need Him.
Just run to Him :)

They are showing Love Actually on Ch 5 soon… hehe…
Beatles - All You Need Is Love Lyrics
Love, Love, Love.
Love, Love, Love.
Love, Love, Love.

There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.
It's easy.

Nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time.
It's easy.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.

Nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.

All you need is love (All together, now!)
All you need is love. (Everybody!)
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need (love is all you need).

Yee-hai!
Oh yeah!
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah.
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah.

Alright… time for dinner…
Feeling good!

A different kind of rubicon

"When I am working on a problem I never think about beauty. I only think about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong."
- Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983)
"In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite."
- Paul Dirac (1902-1984)
"In any contest between power and patience, bet on patience."
- W.B. Prescott

A week ago today, at this time, I was on my way home from the camp and my first night duty stint.
Today, the sleep I had this morning was rather good :)
Been ages since I’ve been able to sleep in.
My schedule’s been crazy and now I am trying to catch up.
How exciting that chase is…
-psychotic laughter-

My Thursday in school comprised of CF lecture in the morning and MM lecture in the evening.
I literally planted myself in school from 9am to 9pm.
Actually it was slightly longer than that.
But yes, I did get to study.
With YT and her friend, whose name I still have yet to catch. -.-lll

Thank God that I managed to get work done.
I donno where my mind was half the time… shesh…
-bangs head against the wall-
Made in home in one piece.
With the knowledge that I was going to be waking up freaking early the next day in preparation to go to Changi Hospital.

Physiotherapy was interesting.
Ran into YK and some other people there.
My therapist and trainer are friendly people.
Exercises to execute at home at the gym.
The MRI machine was down in the morning before my appointment, so as a result, we (TKM and I, she went with me ^.^) had to wait around 1 to 2 hours before I got placed 'in' the machine.
An interesting and expensive experience.
The social situations we witnessed at the hospital that day also leave much to be desired.
I hope the matter is cleared up with minimal damage.

Saturday morning class followed by a lazy afternoon at home. J
Sunday service with lesson which has been dragged on to this coming Sunday.
Afternoon chiong poomsae.

PMS is rearing its ugly head.
Yuck.

Monday ESAP and MSM.
Zzzzzzzz…………….
Hahahha… not really lah!
I absorbed and did more than just scribble down notes for both lectures.
I also learnt some new things about myself that day.
Had lunch with Yingying and dinner with Parveen.
They made my day worth the while. :D

Tuesday’s MM class followed by a mini-trip to Popular and money flying out of my wallet.
Went home and completely knocked out.
Was almost late in meeting up with Pau, Winnie and Andrew.
Cell gathering at Downtown East.
Food, food and more food… ahhaha…
Since it is the school holidays now, there were a lot more people there than compared to the last time we went there.
Everything was livelier and the pictures we took reflected our moods.
Praise God for the time we spent together!

Here I am yet again, on a Wednesday… typing and planning my time.
Time is absolute, but the passing of time is relative.
There is always something to do.
The question is whether that something is right for that particular time.
Therein lies the issue.
But if one spends all his/her time thinking about doing the right thing, then it will never get done at all.

Can passion really overcome anything?

Been pondering about the priorities I’ve had this year.
How much I had neglected certain things and how much I have changed because of the implementation of values.
I know more and yet I wish that sometimes I did not.
Increase of knowledge has that edge of making you realize how much you do not know.

All right, enough musing… time to get down to business!

Try doing poomsae at 0330hrs

"When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite."
- Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)
"The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. The opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth."
- Niels Bohr (1885-1962)
"We all agree that your theory is crazy, but is it crazy enough?"
- Niels Bohr (1885-1962)

Sunday morning: PLMC tradition service with Ma, Pa and YKM.
Sunday afternoon: TKD. (standard thing no? ;p)

ESAP + CF + Bad mood = Not good.
Why do people have a habit of letting me down?
Am I asking for too much?
-hits head against the wall-
Hate it when I get taken for granted…
-hits head against the wall even harder-
Believe you me; it is a horrible and painful feeling.

Whacked pattern before going home to prepare for Tuesday.
Tuesday morning MM lecture, den chiong home, take a short nap and head for WWS.
Camp Enviro-Awareness :D
Went down in time to help out with the tele-match and did a lot of catching up with Yillinn + SS.
Volunteered to do night duty… apparently there are very few people who are willing to stay up the whole night… I don blame them… hehe
My first time staying up for an entire night :)
And having Swee Shoon to rubbish with was a good thing… he helped to keep me awake…
Management Mathematics is obviously not enough to keep me alert for an entire night…
We did poomsae at 0330hours… quiet and cool atmosphere at the campsite…
-hysterical laughter-
We managed to keep our minds going no?
Kinda felt like an owl though, or a vampire… when everyone started getting up, with fresh faces, Shoon and I were panda-eyed and half-dead.
Truth be told, I was kinda surprised that he was more zombi-fied than I was.
But then again, his schedule was Tuesday was more packed than mine and today’s schedule for him was also just as hectic.
We kept falling asleep at the table area between 6 and 7am.
Some thing went for the bus ride home.
Think Yilinn had it better than us, she managed to clock in about 2 hours of sleep before waking up to join us for night-rotting-chatting-checking-on-the-kids-duty…
We all made it!
-waves pompoms all over the place-

Almost fell asleep eating my lunch.
Totally comatose when I put my head on the pillow.
Could not wake up in time to go to SIM for training.
Made it to Kovan though :)
Poomsae for 2 hours straight!
Shiok xia~

Lack of sleep… feeling light headed liao….
Tomorrow gonna be in school from 9am till 9 pm…
The joy of the Lord is my strength!

Nothing material lasts foreveR

"Egotist: a person more interested in himself than in me."
- Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914)
"It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity."
- Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
"The secret of success is to know something nobody else knows."
- Aristotle Onassis (1906-1975)

It seems to me that now is a period of things falling apart…
My contacts tore last Sunday remember?
Yesterday, my blue plastic spects broke in 2, while I was at Parveen’s house.
Today, my sandals fell apart while I was in Ang Mo Kio…
Then, when I got home, one of the lenses of my metal spects fell out -.-lll

Wonderful aye?

But!
In everything, always look for the silver lining…
So let me start the story…
-hysterical laughter-

Friday morning went to Parveen’s house.
MOVIE ORGY!!!!
Been a long time coming man…
Haven seen my sugar babe in more than 4 months… and I can’t even remember when was the last time we met up… but I do recall that my hair was short back then… and my hair isn’t that short now!
-laughs out loud-

There was not supposed to be a theme… but evidently, we managed to find one in the movies we watched. ;p
The Lake House
Spider-Man
Anyone wanna guess the theme?
*Remind me, I’ll let you know in the next post… whoever guesses right will get an ice cream from me J

I miss my Sugar Babe, t’was good to see her once again… Auntie’s a fantastic cook! Kudos to chef of the day!
-waves pompoms all over the place-
Su Chin was there too! (Did I spell her name right?)
My ‘ice’ pretty girl warmed up to me within a 2 hours, not bad aye?
Very bright girl :)
She and her elder sis… one word: Hwah!

My spectacles, which I have had since secondary school, broke at about 4.15pm, while I was cleaning it… believe me, I was being super careful with them, because I knew that they were going to snap anytime… I have had enough experience with spectacles to know when they are going to break and what not…
Been seeing the world through lenses ever since I was 4, don play play ah~ x.xlll
So ya, the journey with that pair of glasses ended there and then, I was thinking of writing a eulogy for it… maybe I shall…
-psychotic laughter-
Good thing I brought another set of spectacles out with me, but the pair I brought is the one I usually wear at home.
Which means I was unable to see clearly for most of the things around me.
This can be horrible when you are supposed to take the MRT home…
But, its all good when you’ve got Parv-Mama around~ :D

Got home in time to rest for a bit before heading out for class… made my way home at around 9.30pm… a first!
Kanna hit by the sen-sian-sation again… -.-lll

Felt a lot better when I got up today.
Sleep works wonders! :D
Tuition at AMK, my sandals tore, fell apart… somewhat anyway…
Went to meet TKM at Kovan right after class, got her to vet the frames that I had already short listed last Sunday. :)
In the end, we settled on a frame that was no even in the selection… haha…
After that, we went to Sportslink.
I now have a new pair of sandals and the price was not too shabby either :)
Along with that is a redeemed umbrella, which is made for two.
-smug look-
I also saw some stuff I feel like buying in the future… hats to be precise… I’m not sure when I took a liking to caps, but they are fun! :)
-dances round the house-

Had a late lunch and did grocery shopping with TKM before heading for home and my pillows.
Sleeping was good!
One of the lenses of my metal frame, as I mentioned earlier, came out while I was cleaning the spectacles… x.-lll
Got the text message from the Optical shop to let me know that my spects were ok around 5.30pm, but I did not see it till about 7.15pm, coz I was in dream land. Hahaha…
Had initially thought of collecting them tomorrow, but the popping that specific lense meant that I had to make the trip back to get my new frames … hehe…

Paid for the glasses, went walking round Heartland Mall and ended up purchasing two garments from Giodano, as well as a necklace…
-hysterical laughter-
so much for saving money aye?
-faints-

That would be the round up of my two days… interesting with all the highs and lows…
God’s hand was definitely moving~
So exciting!

Oh!
Here’s something for you to try out:
Say the phrase “As a whole” quickly…
Esther, the CF lecturer, said it on Thursday.
We had ourselves a good laugh. ;)

Enjoy your weekend!
Be blessed!
